Scope and content:

Parchment codex with the front and back leaves missing. The Evangelion contains the following four gospels:
1. Gospel of Matthew, beginning with the verse Α, 20΄ (fol.1r-78v)
2. Gospel of Mark (fol. 79r-128v)
3. Gospel of Luke (fol.129r-190r)
4. Gospel of John, finishing with the verse ΙΗ΄, 30-31 (fol.191r-241v).
A relief silver later plaque has been attached on the front cover, which presents Jesus Christ holding the Gospel on his left hand and blessing with the right hand, flanked by the Virgin Mary and Saint John the Baptist.
The leaf 190v includes a full- page miniature depicting of St.John Theologos.

Physical characteristics and technical requirements:

Χειρόγραφος κώδικας σε περγαμηνή, διαστάσεων 24,5x17x7,5εκ. Η στάχωση είναι από δέρμα καστανού χρώματος με ξύλινες πινακίδες. Το κείμενο είναι γραμμένο με μελάνι καφέ και κόκκινου χρώματος.

Πριν από κάθε Ευαγγέλιο υπάρχει χρυσογραφές σύμπλεγμα με ποικίλα χρώματα και παραστάσεις με φυτικό κυρίως διάκοσμο, ενώ τα πρωτογράμματα είναι διακοσμημένα ποικιλοτρόπως.
